Shabu Shabu Reverb
Carve sound
into space.
A granular reverb with a curious soul. Scatter a sound into glimmering fragments, set them in motion, and let the room carry them away.
Fragments. Movement. Space.
Small gestures.
Beautifully strange places.
Give a chord a cloud of companions. Turn a short phrase into a shifting texture. Leave just a trace of grains, or let them tumble into a long, generous reverb tail.
Shabu Shabu puts a stereo granulator before an algorithmic reverb. Ten tactile gauges and an interactive visual field keep your hands close to the sound. Move by ear. Follow what catches you.
Let the Orbits play.
Two Orbits bring slow tides, rhythmic patterns and unpredictable motion. Run freely or follow your host’s tempo. Let one Orbit change the other’s rate, depth or shape, and hear a familiar sound take another path.
A space you can touch.
Carve the grain cloud with the touch field, or switch it to cutoff and resonance. Watch the braided waveform and grains respond. Choose expressive motion, a calmer view or a still field.

In your music host
Add Shabu Shabu Reverb to an audio effect slot in a compatible AUv3 host such as AUM or Logic Pro. Send audio through it, choose a preset, then raise Grains to bring the granulator into action. Mix controls the final reverb blend.
Hold a gauge, or right-click on Mac, to assign either Orbit or learn a MIDI controller. Follow a gentle wave, a sharp pulse or a less predictable path.
A place to begin
